what is your typical grocery list?

a friend of mine was asking people in her LJ what they bought when they go to the grocery store.
i think this is an interesting question so i am going to ask it here, too!
so, when you go food shopping, what does your typical grocery list have on it?
and what things do you always buy and what things would you never buy?

this is my answer:

i'm trying to think of what i bought last time....
everything listed here is organic and free range

limes
cranberries
oranges
bananas
whole milk
tomatoes
assorted cheeses
avocados
hummus
yogurt
flour
chicken
carrots
onions
celery
canned tomatoes
sardines
eggs
squash
potatoes
sour cream
lentils
pot roast
garlic
frozen spinach
frozen peas
ezekiel sprouted grain cereal
pineapple
tilapia
kefir
eggs

guilty pleasures:

instant oatmeal

things i never buy:
most pre-packaged things like rice-a-roni
although, come to think of it, i still have a thing
for kraft mac and cheese sometimes

i don't buy canned soups anymore unless
it's a cream of mushroom for a tator tot hotdish, which
i make every once in awhile (it's in my minnesotan blood)

and once, in awhile, i'll still buy a can of chef boyardee ravioli.
for instance, it's one of the only things i could get down when i was
in my 1st trimester and i was so nauseated.

but basically, i try to just make things from scratch from
the most whole and natural foods i can find
because i am cooking for more people besides just myself now
and it's more fun to do it that way (and better for you, duh!)

when i was single and more poor
i lived on ramen and tap water

so it's very wonderful for me, at this time of my life,
to finally eat better
