got the results from the ultrasound back finally
and it said everything looks normal
as in, all her measurements are within normal parameters
all the chambers of her heart look good
she has a brain :)
her lips look fine and formed
she has all her limbs and organs :)
she is just a little bigger than average (measuring 6 days "ahead")
the placenta is near the top (a normal position)
and she is, as of that day, in breech position
and that's it!

here's a pic from the ultrasound, since a few of you were interested in seeing her.
she looks really different from lili's ultrasound pics.
lili was more pug faced with a shorter neck and violet has a super curvy face and longer neck.
i am so totally curious as to what she will look like!
i wish i had a better picture from the ultrasound but this is the best one.
i think that is either her hand up by her mouth or that is her umbilical cord.
we saw her yawning and sucking her thumb at the ultrasound :)
who is this person inside of me?

she kicks me more and more.
especially at night.

i'm almost 6 months pregnant now and my belly is really popping now.
it's getting harder to breathe or lean over and picking lili up is hurting my back.

on the lili front,
lili is scooting across the floors now very fast and i need to start baby proofing more.
she can pull herself to a stand when she is by me. she pulls herself up by holding onto my shirt.
she plays "patty cake" all the time and thinks that is hilarious.
she is starting to learn to wave "hi"
she mimicks "dada" sometimes.
she is starting to get a little defiant streak and so we have a new theme song for her called
"i have my own kinda plan for that"
like when we try and put her in her carseat and she tries to squiggle out of it
we imagine she is singing it.
she also has another song called
"i'm not 100% satisfied now"
but seriously, her defiance is kinda cute, much to her annoyance :)
she is pretty much happy 90% of the time, tho!

the character Simple Jack (a so-called "retard", from the movie tropic thunder)
is #9 on characters to be for halloween.

i surely do hope i meet up with people who dress as a retard for halloween
so i can introduce them to lili!

won't that be a nice TREAT for them?
