8:00pm
an emotional moment.
well, i tried to go see obama speak
downtown saint paul (he just right now this very second got enough delegates
to be the democratic nominee)
and the line to see him was literally MILES long.
i've never seen anything like it!
after waiting in line for an hour,
i decided to just go home because lili needed to go to bed soon.
(now i see there is no way i would have gotten in there anyway...xcel center
is full)
i'm not a democrat, nor an obama
fan, nor do i even like politics or have any faith in the political system...
but i have to tell you, seeing all these people turn out to see obama...going
on for miles and miles and miles....it made me feel very emotional and tearful.
just for the fact that he is the 1st black nominee and i just know he will
also be president.
it's spine tingling to witness.
it's going to be an amazing historic
speech tonight just a few miles from where i live.
i wish i could be there in person to witness it and feel the vibe of it all.
all the media is here, helicopters are zooming overhead.
but...i'll just have to suffice to
watch it on tv :/

hillary is going to concede tonight:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/clinton
and obama is going to rally here
tonight and it's going to be INSANE.
i think i may go down to see him just to witness the insanity of the whole
situation.
i'll take pix for you!

we ARE going to new york for our
honeymoon!
it looked like we were not going to be able to swing it for awhile so i had
given up on the idea almost.
but now we are going FOR SURE!
I AM SO EXCITED!
we'll be going the week june 20- 27
so if anyone knows anything that is happening there that week let me know!
also if anyone knows of any good blogs i could read about things that are happening in NYC, please give me URLs :)
mostly what we want to do is eat
amazing things.
and we want to just start walking down streets exploring things on our own
time, seeing what we run into.
we don't want to do anything too touristy but we would like to finally see the statue of liberty.
also i'd like to take a carriage ride in central park but i wonder if it's worth it?
also can anyone recommend a really
good upscale place to go buy picnic foods?
we'd like to pack a picnic for central park and i want things like caviar
and fine cheese and fruit.
where is a good place to go that is in manhattan?
i also want to go to a sushi place
that has the widest selection of sashimi.
i'm so sick of only being able to get the usual tuna and salmon here.
i want to eat something unusual!
also, what are some cool underground bands to see in NYC?
oooo! so much to do!
i'm in a state of twitterpation!
