4:25pm

my mom made it out of the surgery ok. and it lokos like they got all the cancer out.
that's all i know from the brief update i received from her husband...i haven't been able to call my mom yet.
i'm sure she is pretty out of it with the morphine drip and all.
i hope i will be able to talk to her tomorrow and send her flowersand visit her.

today has just been spent still unpacking from moving and organizing and trying to get rid of more things.
and i need to sort through tons of boxes of paper to deal with taxes and god so much needs to be done it's overwhelming but i plod onward.

i've been trying to feel creative but that is laughable as i am so tired and i live on caffeine to keep me at all going. i keep starting projects and never finishing them but perhaps that is better than never starting anythnig at all. hmmm...

m is looking for some new jobs that make a bit mroe money so that is a relief but also stressful as the changes are being made. he wants to work with people with disabilities. so far he has been working every saturday with 3 men who have down syndome, and he has liked it so much he is looking for more of this kind of work. it seems to be right up his alley. i knew it would be :) he is so kind and caring. this is the kind of job he was meant to do, i had a good feeling.

so we are in major upheaval, reevaluation, reconfiguartion of our lives. figuring out where everything fits literally and figuratively. our new roles as mother and father, wife and husband.

lili has been discovering making new sounds. playing her piano, playing with her feet, figuring out that she can do things with both hands at once, and also when i changer her diaper or put her pants on she actually helps out by straightenign ehr legs out...it's soooo cute!
and 2 days ago we went to a diner with m's parent's and she tried a piece of a pancake with maple syrup the size of 1/2 a pea (she was not interested) and she licked some egg yolks off m's finger (which she loved!) so that day (2 days ago) i cooked her an egg yolk and let her eat some of it.
the one i made for her she didn't seem to have as much interest in.

she is being super smiley today :)
