1:22pm

lili is getting more cramped in my belly.
her movements press against every part of me in there.

my mom is driving me a bit bezerk with not understanding that we are going to be co-sleeping. she keeps wanting to buy me a full sized crib, which is really nice of her, but we are CO-SLEEPING.
even after i told her we are co sleeping she still got me that free crib that did not meet safety standards (which i then had to throw away).
when i heard she got me that crib i just aort of sighed and took it and since it wasn't all that ugly and was small i was ok with it and thought i can put lili in it when i need to set her down. but it wasn't safe so now it's gone.
then my mom told me she wanted to buy me a full sized crib last week and i said "thanks, but we're co sleeping!"

today she asked me if she could buy me a full sized crib again and what did i think about that (???) and i said "mom! we're co sleeping! but thanks!!"

today she is still wondering about the birth tub.
*head desk*
she cannot wrap her head around it as to why i would want one.
i keep telling her it's because it gets the pressure off my back and makes labour easier. and the warm water also helps with pain.
also, if i decide to give birth in the tub, a water birth is less traumatizing to the baby...comign uot inot the world in warm water instead of cold water right off the bat.
but why i am getting it most of all is for me to ease the pain of labour.

warm water has always soothed me and calmed me down.

today she asks..."If you are in a tub when having the baby Lili bean how do they put a heart monitor on you to constantly assess the baby's heart beat? Having the heart monitored constantly during labour is VERY important. This tells if the baby is having any distress from umbilical cord around neck,or distress of any sort. If the heart beat slows down or speeds up the midwife would want to know immediately. Curious."

thanks mom for letting me know that monitoring the baby's heartbeat is important :)
last week my mom also informed me what my belly button was and that my belly button is where the umbilical cord was attached to and that is where lili's belly button will come from (!!!)
uhhhhhh, ya!
gee, all this time i never knew what my belly button was about!

my mom means well.
but it can be maddening.

i let my mom know that my midwife will monitor the baby's heartbeat with a stethascope and fetal doppler.
you don't need some strap on thing the entire time.

i realized today that i am NOT ready for this baby to come right this very second.

there are $50 worth of midwifery supplies i need to order.
gauze and a clamp for the cord and stuff like that.
a kit to print the little baby feet :)
it says on the form to order the stuff 6 weeks before my due date.
OOPS!

i haven't had $50 to order it yet. i hope i have it in the next few days *crosses fingers*

and i need to call about the birth tub rental.
and that will probably be about $200, which i don't have.

and then there are more odds and ends i need to get.
my midwife gave me a list. i need to find that list.
hydrogen peroxide to treat my towels and sheets so they can get clean easier or something (she does this for me and even does the laundry before she leaves! how is that for service? :)
i need some trays to put supplies, sanitary napkins, i've got plastic sheets to put down, i need to get witchhezel pads to help with my soreness after.
i need to get water with electrolytes in it.
things to eat, ice chips.
a tupperware to put my placenta in. hehe :)

there are just so many little odds and ends to get.
and i have ZERO money.
rent is due today. i am past due on my electric bill.
my electricity went out today for about 10 minutes and i was fearful! then it came back on *whew*

ya electricity would be good huh?

god i am just sort of spazzing about it all.
i just want all of these things bought and in my house and ready to go so i can breathe easier.
i have to get this stuff SOMEHOW.
i have to be prepared.
it would suck to go into labour right now and not have this stuff here ready to go.

i am nervous.

oh and we need to go to the fire department and have the car seat installed properly.

my baby shower is on sunday.

i have to figure out the camcorder that jay holben sent me to record the birth for his documentary and start recording little video diaries for him.

god, last night i was snoring.
i don't know what is up with that.
it must be another pregnancy thing.
nice.
