today my midwife came over. she said
it ws ok that i was not gaining weight but maintaining my weight.
she said not everyone gains a ton of weight during their pregnancy and i should
not worry.
althoughy of course i will gain weight as the baby grows. because the baby
will weigh more.
she said my uterus was at the right size for 17 weeks.
we listened to the babies heartbeat again with the fetal doppler stethascope,
and i was able to record it on my fostex x-15 4 track that records onto cassette.
i have about 9 seconds of it.
now i just have to figure out how to make it into a file on my computer so
i can upload it for you to hear.
i'm really pissed that my recorder
is not working on my computer.
jason tried troubleshooting it with me over the phone today but nothing worked.
it SHOULD work. it isn't making sense as to why it is not.
i'm doing dread maintenance on his hair tomorow and he is going to look at
it in person.
so my only option right now is to hold my little toy video camera up (that
records also crappy sound) to the headphones of my 4 track and try to make
a recording that way.
it will most likely sound like complete crap, but if you can hear the babies
heart beat even a LITTLE bit then at least that is something.
i feel a lot better havnig heard
the heartbeat again.
and i feel a lot beter knowing that it's ok i'm not gaining a bunch of weight
right now.
it was nice and sunny and almost 50 degrees out today.
now it's cloudy but still warmish.
i hope to get to the p.o. box after i've finished eating my microwave dinner
(lime shrimp kashi something) and uploaded this to you. and i've tried to
make a wav or mp3 of the babies heartbeat for you.
i made my FIFTH appt to get my bloodwork done. this time i am going to go to my midwife's place of biz on monday at 11am and she is going to do it. thank the gods.
and then on that same day at 1pm or something we are taking sebastian in to petsmart to get a haircut, shampoo, and get his teeth brushed. yay! a clean wooket!
and i signed over a cheque i got from my dad for $500 to my midwife, too, to start slowly playing her the 3,500 she will cost. i just want to start paying her. it makes me feel better.
oh and i have to go get the key to my storage locker and see if i saved the usb extension cord. i sure hope so because i want cam 2 to be able to move farther than 2 feet.
