we watched the lost dvd with all the extras on it.
good to get our lost fix in there while we wait for the new ones to begin on feb 7th.

i laid in bed all day all blah. then M came home and made me scrambled eggs with potatoes, onions, tomatoes, sprouts, cheese and brought me back to life.
then his xmas presents arrived from me :)
a dvd player and so now he is trying to plug it in and we can try it out :)
and we are listening to the cure, acoustic versions of their songs.
finally happiness to my day :)

i got an email "holiday family update" from the one uncle (canadian side of the family) who actually contacted and congratutated me on my pregnancy. i can see the entire CC list of emails on there, and mine is NOT one of them.
does this mean he stuck my email in the BCC column?
and if he did , that makes me feel a little weird, like he doesn't want anyone in the family to know he sent me the email, too?
wtf?

it's like "hi, welcome to the family again, sort of, now that you are a breeder, but we'll still keep you hidden just in case having a baby doesn't "settle me down"" (as one of my aunts told my mom. the one who called me a whore. ya. as if i am going to go through a major personality change and turn into a stepford wife just because i am pregnant.). it's enough to make me want to squat like a shelanagig and give birth in front of a giant statue of medusa and minerva, screaming like a banshee.

mt thoughts on circumcision (from a post under the bed)

circumcision, no.
it's barbaric and unnecessary to do to a child.
the whole "it'll be cleaner if it's circumcized' is a load of hogwash. i've gone out with uncut guys and there is no difference in cleansliness as long as they WASH it like everyone should.
circumcized or not.
the foreskin is there for a purpose.

i would never subject my child to a school that contained children in it who were brought up to make fun of another person's gentitals just because they were slightly different.

and if it's a boy i will teach him that the look, size or anything else about his penis should not be the focus of his life like men in the west have the extraordinary tendency to obsess needlessly about and when the media or peer pressure from anywhere tries to brainwash him into thinking that his penis is anything less than it "should" be, i will combat with with all my heart and soul.

plus, with his foreskin still intact, his orgasms will most likely be much more powerful.
which i would consider is a pretty big bonus.

having a foreskin is not something you keep on "for the ladies". it's his body, not theirs.

and if he is unhappy with not being circumcized, then he is free to get circumcized when he is at an age that he can decide for himself.

i don't understand all this hoopla about how i need my baby's consent to be on cam but somehow i do not to radically alter one of the most sensitive parts of his body for life.

the only reason circumcision became into being is because it was a ritual that signified a covenant with god. and what better place to remind a man of this covenant, constantly, than to modify his penis. there is no reason to have this blood/flesh sacrifice to "god" in this age.
especially if one isn't even going to remember it in the 1st place.

now the only reason to do it is to look like your peers in the lockerroom.
that's not a good enough reason, to me.

plus, when hard, the uncut penis looks identical to the cut one.

i consider taking off the foreskin to the penis to be exactly as if someone were to cut the little "hood" off that protects my clit and it's sensitivity.

there is a reason that each one of us has a "hood" to protect the most sensitive parts of our genitals.

yes, i feel very strongly about this.
i've had many dreams abuot it , weirdly. and never knew why because i don't have a penis and couldn't for thelife of me understand why i was being shown over and over the ritual of circumcision and why it was unnecessary.

but now, if i have a boy, i totally see why i had these very important dreams.
