Brian Setzer came in to work again today, with his bleach-blonde ladyfriend who looked very much like a 50's pin-up queen. he's a pretty nice guy, from what i can gather.

watched COOL HAND LUKE tonight....feels like it's been a while since i've spent a night at my house here on Elliot Ave. most of my time for the past month has been spent with Voog, at Voog's. it's been a good thing.

lately, with Voog -- i ate my first raw oyster the other day at this little place in Uptown where there are a string of Oyster Bars. it made me gag, i confess, and i almost lost it. but i got it down. i tried it. Ana was happy and proud that i tried it. "you proved you are a man," she said.
and the other day, i think it was July 5th, i had my first Japanese meal at this little quiet place by her apartment in St. Paul. ate my first real decent piece of sushi w/wasabi substitute...whatever it is that they substitute for genuine wasabi. it was o.k. i could stomach it. not delicious. i think it's still a little alien to my body, my brain doesn't yet recognize it as non-poison, as nutrition. but it was o.k. i liked the POW! of the wasabi especially.

it's been good. a lot of just hanging out. drinking exotic beers. a lot of making love. talking, smiling, laughing. love. just loving. a lot of that. it's been nice. to say the least. "nice".

we watched the movie ALL THAT JAZZ together :) which i got an immense kick out of. "show-time!" :) Roy Scheider cracked me up.

watching fireworks out her window on the 4th of July -- she has a great view of the river and all the surrounding lands. it's spectacular. big sky.
