can anyone figure out the urls to
these?
http://www.ana2.com/private/anamusiq/
i had them in my LJ then deleted them.
now i cannot seem to get the right combination to make them work again.
me a tech head?
god, i wish.
IQ of 11 in this.
why god why?
i made this link
it won't work:
http://anavoog.weblogimages.com/voog/anavoog-pleasegod-bleepedversion.mp3
why???
***
ya, i just got this, too:
http://www.zzounds.com/item--BOSRC20XL
hell ya.
all i need now is a bass guitar.
and i'm ready to roll, musique-wise
i'm am SO excited!
AS MUCH AS I LOATHE AND DEPISE TECHNOLOGY
(VERY IRONIC, I KNOW)
(oops caps lock)
when i found this picture searching for what loop thing juana molina uses
(which i could not find)
i got goosebumps all over my body when i viewed this:
the only conclusion i can come to
is that i am a closet gearhead and i just do not want to admit it.
(or me loves the speak and spell)
i don't know which but ooooo, i did get goosebumps all over when i saw that.

wow!
i got the new bono book today.
did you get it for me matt?? :)

so i'm thinking of just staying with the free windows movie maker i have
and buying the 15.00
Plus! Effects & Transitions for Windows Movie Maker 2
which is only 15 bucks.
sorry, mac, you are beautiful but so freaking expensive and exclusive.
sure beats buying a new computer, figuring out a whole new operating system,
etc.
the free radtools thing converts mov to avi or something (although the files
are then 3 times as large...dunno why)
just have to figure out how to get my vhs cassettes converted into my computer.
and my audio cassettes, too.
is there some osrt of external harddrive i can buy for my computer which i
can dedicate solely to just all my video and sound, and then i can just keep
adding on to that?
modular hardrives is what i need.
++
went over to jason's to watch this documentary called "tarnation"
and the whole time i was like...this looks like it was made with imovie which
is what i want but i need a mac to use it.
because it looked like so much of what you can do with windows media maker.
and the reason he used imovie and not final cut pro and all that stuff is
exactly why i want imovie, because it's EASY.
goddamit. now i want imovie even more.
but that means i ahve to get a mac somehow.
and one with a massive harddrive.
geez louise.
i still have the free demo version of vegas movie studio...but already i cannot
really figure out how to use it.
with windows media maker i didn't even read the directions, i just knew how
to use it right away because it was so simple.
fuck i need a mac and imovie.

http://www.filmmakermagazine.com/spring2004/features/be_mirror.php
now i'm going on the net to see how peopel compare these 2 things.
maybe i will just stick with windows media player.
and it will just have to be my quest to find the ultimate way to convery mov
to avi or mpeg.
dunno.
because then with imovie it sounds like it has trouble with mpeg and avi.
so i'd run into the same trouble.
hmmm.
this is interesting:
http://www.informit.com/articles/article.asp?p=377090
9:23pm
sold my jupiter 6 for $400 which
is way less than what it is worth now.
it goes betwen 800 and 1,000 now.
but i bought it for $400 so i sold it for that because i just wanted to get
it out of my thing room asap.
so basically that paid for almost everything i bought today.
rock :)
trading in the old for the new.
it's hard to say i will miss it since i never really even played it.
i do not it is one of the most unique analog synths out there and can do things
that other synths cannot.
but i still have my juno 60 and my little moog. so i'm still alright.
if i get too instruments around me i just get paralyzed by too many options
and so i do nothing.
so now i have more room in the thing room and i have less options which i
hope will allow me to create.
i have so many other things to pare down, as well.
i need ROOM to breathe and create.
less is more sometimes.
8:07pm
7:48pm
someone is coming over to possibly
buy my jupiter 6.
kick ass :)
7:01pm
tech question
what's the best thing (and easy to use and cheap) to buy that will transfer
cassette tapes into mp3s?
also what is the best thing to buy (and easy to use and cheap) to transfer video tapes into mov or avi or something.
i want to get rid of all my cassettes and vhs cassettes and archive them onto cd/dvd instead
has anyone tried this?
http://www.acoustica.com/spinitagain/tape_to_cd.asp
ok, i downloaded the trial version
of that.
tried to hook up my boombox to my computer but i cannot get the levels high
enough for the software to hear anything to record.
FUCK.
6:01pm
i have 7 billion types of cords,
connectors and adapters...NONE of which are the kind i need.
it's enough to make me crazy.
or just fall asleep in despair.
so my jupiter 6 keyboard is 30W, according to the manual.
and it has the 2 prong thing.
so will THIS
work for it?
i have been trying to understand power cords/cables all day but i still cannot
understand it.
3:16pm
i am PSYCHED.
so after searching around for what i want and thinking about it and comparing.
i have gotten myself an 8 track and a new microphone and new headphones.
yippee! here is what i got from zZounds.com:
Fostex MR8 MKII 8-Track Digital Recorder
$249.95
Shure SM58 Dynamic Handheld Microphone (SM58S LC, With On/Off Switch, Without
Cable) $104.95
Fostex T50RP Closed Ear Pro Studio Stereo Headphones $79.95
World Tour Gig Bag for Fostex MR8
$19.95
Conquest RAIII HiZ XLR to 1/4-inch Mic Cable (20 feet) $14.95
Two day Shipping : $28.99
it was confusing to get the right
cable for the microphone because i want one that will connect into my effects.
so i had to call their 1-800 # and ask them what to get and they were very
helpful.
and it tok me awhile to decide between the MR8 and the MR8II.
but the MR8II will connect to your computer via USB , so that alone made it
worth the extra 20 bucks to get that one.
i am soooooooooooooo excited.
i could have gotten free ground shipping, but i paid for the 2 days shipping
because i want it now now now!
it's just amazing i was able to get all of that for less than 500 bucks. because
i remember my fostex x-15 4 track that uses cassettes was almost 600 bucks
at the time i bought it new, back in the early 80's. and hear i've gotten
an 8 track, which will be less noisy, too, and a better microphone AND some
headphones.
so KICK ASS.
now i just need to take my guitar in somewhere to out new strings on it.(because
it's massive bitch to do it yourself on the model of 12 string i have.
and then i need to get a bass and i'll be ready to make new music :)
and i hope these fostex headphones
will LAST.
because everytime i buy headphones that are expensive like bose or grado labs
they break. so fuck that.
thet sound great but a lot of good they do me when they break in 1/2 and stuff.
oh i just realized that it's saturday, so 2 day shipping will not really be
2 day. gah.
5:00pm
i'm listening to juana molina.
at 5pm jason and i are going for a walk.
then out to eat at our fave japanese place.
it's very nice out.
tomorrow it's supposed to be nice, too.
then more rain.
i need to get out and take photos.
12:51pm
i remember my dreams now.
i was in this house that had stairways that went to a second level.
however there was tons of crap left behind by the previous owners on the stairs
and everywhere.
and decided to clean and get rid of all that stuff.
i knew i could turn it into a pretty cool house if i could juts get rid of
all this clutter in these corners and in places we could not see.
i wanted to get the nergy moving in there.
some things i saved, like these little flat stuffed animals that were cute
and i thought if i washed them up they would look cool sewn onto t shirts
and things.
but most of the stuff was just things to throw away, like old boards and old
fabric and carpeting that was ugly. and knick knacks and broken things.
i did not like drawing restraint
as much as i thought i would, although i'd like to see it again.
for me, it was not as visually appealing except for the part where mattew
and bjork get all dressed up into these very ornate costumes.
and the shells and things from the sea where gorgeous.
12:42pm
not much to say yet.

This is an excellent day for engaging in new activities and for making discoveries about yourself and the world around you. Your life now has an exciting quality that is not always present. Take advantage of this excitement to learn about yourself in ways that are not usually possible. Your heightened perception of your world will help you make changes with a complete understanding of how the various parts of your life are interrelated. This is a good influence for studying any discipline that can reveal new and stimulating aspects of the universe. It favors the study of science, technical disciplines, astrology or other branches of the occult. You want to broaden your understanding, and the more exciting your study, the more actively you will pursue it.

Saturday
Moon into Virgo 5:20am PDT
All right enough toad ball, dragon fly and other strange dances of play, time to get back to work. Now to get the lifestyle 'to do' list together. Yeah you're going to be lighting that channel up. IF you have the day off, take the day in and generate what sort of efficiency you need around the camp. Thrust the unraveling projects into the organizer of the mind and get a step by step plan drawn up. Your mind is clear in this way. It's almost like having a private brainstorm all day. In groups it's perfect to get the legal pad out and do the same thing, get over the attachment to how it could be or was, with this focus on how it IS you can make great progress in community endeavors.

Although it may be annoying, to say the least, your day can fill up quickly with a long list of little things to do. You might be tempted to ignore your chores, but it may be better to swallow your injured sense of self-determination and just do what is expected. You'll have enough freedom of movement even if you maintain the steadiness of your normal routine.
