a long time ago, when i was looking for other cool webcams, i came across vera little. she introduced me to the bizarro world of amputee fetishism where the people who are into that call themselves "devotees", and peole who wish they were amputated (a very weird subject) are called "wannabees".
it really has to be one of the weirdest fetishes i have ever come across, besides people who are turned on by balloons.
i started researching it and saving pictures.
i found sites that had real amputees and sites that are dedicated to photoshopping women to look as if they are amputated.
what this says about the world...i not vert good, i don't think.
but i have found some of the photos to be very beautiful, in a surreal way, and i discovered how sometimes the world of amputees crosses into my "obsession" with robots, androids, mannequins, and dolls.

these aren't even the best pix because my floppy drive broke and i have way better archives of this kind of stuff on cd, i just have to find those. and i guess i need to buy a new floppy drive. farg.

anyway...it all makes you think.

also, i find it interesting when people put black bars over people's eyes. since the eyes are the gateway to the soul.
i know they say they do it to give the person on the photo more "privacy". but i think eyes are the windows to the souls, and maybe we are just too scared to look into the eyes of these people?
it's another way to disconnect. i think it's done more for the privacy of the viewer. because maybe it's unnerving to think the photo of the person is looking back at YOU and seeing into YOUR soul and thoughts as you look?

then my floppy drive broke. bah.
