oh, i forgot to say, one of the best things i love about klaus nomi is that he loved to bake homemade pies and tarts for his friends! you just gotta love that :)

i'm in the weirdest mood today.
i feel floaty and not really "here" but the things i love today i really love.
like i listened to the klaus nomi sing "the cold song" 15 times in a row, i just couldn't get enough of it.
i should just put it on repeat.
then i was listening to nina hagen's nunsexmonkrock and just loving it so much.
i was even entranced by the sound of the water sucking down the drain in my tub as laid in it.
it seemed more "stereo" than usual.
and i am more sensitive than usaual to the notes that plates and bowls make when you put things on them.
like the other when i was transfering some polished rocks i had washed from the colinder to this ceramic bowl, each rang out a definite note.
but i am also more irritated at things i dislike more than usual and i cannot stand to deal with anything i deam unpleasant in any way. it's almost like i have PMS, but i know i don't.
it's weird. i feel totally disconnected to the world, yet at the same time i feel ultraconnected.
it's the strangest feeling.

i'm going to go make a "jello poke cake" for jason now for his birthday tomorrow, since it has to be made a day in advance i guess. i've never made one before so we'll see how it goes! i couldn't find the 2 flavours he wanted (raspberry and lime) so it's going to be cherry.
he didn't think birthday candles were necessary, but i think they absolutely are for a birthday cake.
what is a birthday cake without candles?

i finally got to buy some "red truck" wine because they had more in.
i've never had any before but the one day i wanted to get it i go in there and the damn crew who is shooting that damn garrison keillor prairie home companion movie bought ALL of it.
i dislike garrison keillor and his show prairie home companion. it is yawnsville to me.
it seems everyone here is all excited to be extras in his movie.
it's a bunch of smug overly clever "oh aren't we all so 'down home" and 'midwest' with our mukluk's and flannel sheets and cups of coffee and geese and trout fishing and blah ditty blah"
whatevah, just give me back my red truck wine you bastards.
i mean you can't get any more minnesotan that me, i'm 100% nordic, come from a lutheran family, my legal last name is olson and i like hotdish and i say "uff da", for real.
but prairie home companion just is like nails on a chalkboard to me.

i really love how when i put the oil painting filter on my tv when i am gone and i come back and find all these lovely surrealistic, impressionist, and abstract "paintings" that have been randomly made :)

anyone of these would make a beautiful "real" painting :)
