well fuck.
long story short, i can't get my webcam software to recognize the right videocapture card.
so.....it's cycling through photos i've saved from the net.
i hope this will make you happy until jason gets home from work tomorrow and can help me figure out what is the deal.
or maybe i will figure it out on my own tomorrow :/
but i think it's a lost cause for tonight!

if i had the energy, i could figure out a way to be on there AND on ana2 at the same time. but i just know if i try that right now i am going to screw up to configuration of something.

i figured out how to do the overlay thing that chillcam used to do with the koolkam.
now if only i could get it to be 640 by 480!
then it would be fun to play around with in ana2.

i can't figure anything out today.
i've been sitting here for hours trying to figure out why i can't get the chat to work at citizenx, and how on earth to stream the koolkam and to even get ANY cam image onto my citizenx page.
i am a complete stupidhead when it comes to things like this, sometimes.
you'd think i'd have it all figured out by now having been online for so many years.
i can't figure out if it's ME or if it's the software.
and it's so hard to get everything to be compatible with everything else.
and i just downloaded this thing called webcam2000 to see what that was about, and there is NO button on it ANYWHERE (that i can see) to configure it so that you can send the image SOMEWHERE.
you can just turn it on. and that's about it. i can see why that software was not a success.
koolkam's site is completely down almost and there is no FAQ about how to use it anywhere that i can see, so that is of no use to me.
it's just one of those days where i can't get anything to work. and now i remember how frustrating it was when i used to have 4 cams going and a streaming cam, and 5 computers on at once.
now i remember all too clearly why i just went to one cam.
it's just INSANE to try and keep 5 cams going at once let alone one.
i wish i had my own personal assistant so that i could get things like that going again.
i wish i had the money to buy new computers and new cameras and get everything all compatible and up and running.
but it's just SO hard, and SO expensive and you end up spending so much time wrestling with software and hardware and cords and cams that it sucks all the energy out of you to do anything creative with it!
we still have a LONG way to go before the internet and the whole webcamming thing is even remotely what i want/need from it.

i wish i had the money to hire genuis people to create for me what i want. i can see it, i can feel it, it's so within reach...but just...so unattainable as i cannot afford to hire anyone.

trying to figure out how to do a streamcam with my koolkam, but i never could really figure the koolkam out.
it's very userunfriendly and unweildly, even tho i love the effects it can do, i just can't ever remember how to use the darn thing when i go back to it. i swear i can't find ANY option on it where i can stream. but i know it's on there SOMEwhere. so frustrating.

i wish i could figure it out and i wish it could ftp to multiple locations instead of just one. if it could do that, i would use it over chillcam (which is what i use) because it has such great effects to it.

the koolkam won't upload a 640 by 480 picture tho, even tho it SAYS it will.

and my chillcam has inexplicably stopped being able to make a transparent logo (about a year ago) which has seriosuly bummmed me out because that was one of my favourite effects ever.

i wish to god i could hire jason to create for me the greatest webcam software ever for my specific needs. that would be my dream.

he probably could do it, too. he just doesn't have the time :(
