*dies from the beauty* who is the designer??? and where are they so i may go on a pilgramage to worship them!
i see stuff like this and i feel
like a small pea in the universe. i have so much to learn. i am inspired!
so much to learn and explore and be and know and grow and love! the fashion!
the photography! the lighting! the ...everything!
i want POSTERS of these on my walls!
from http://www.asfour.net/
found on my new fave lj community foto_decadent!
why did i not know about this community before?
i am stuck here for hours now!
6:49pm
wow!

5:06pm
these aren't the greatest photos of
it because there is no light to take a proper picture since the sun went down
but i wanted to show it to you now :) i'll take better pictures of it tomorrow.
it's made from the fabric yarn i cut up from vintage dresses from the 40's
and then spun on my wheel the other day. except the silver glitter fabric
is from the 70's and the red is a satin that was not spun but just cut up
and crocheted. it's very royal and rich and regal and gorgeous and so i call
it "the queen of the universe" hat. :)
it is for sale for $89
3:24pm
shells from my soup.
and 4 anapix by rick engel
1:10pm
ate some of my soup and it was so
good!
but now that has made me extremely sleepy.
i may have to take a short nap.
12:14pm
i only got 6 hours of sleep but i'm
not tired.
and i haven't eaten anything yet today either, i'm not at all hungry yet.
weird.
the sun is pouring through my windows.
a lone ladybug walks across my window.
soon it will snow.
paying more bills today.
gotta mail those and then get to the bank to deposit 2 cheques.
that'll get my some excerise to walk around.
my face is totally breaking out, i don't know what is up with that.
i want a coke.
i'm in a good mood, a bit hyper, tho.
the sun's radiation infiltrates.
protons and electrons are whirling and doing thier thing.
things feel lighter and speedier.
i'm in a weird mood, but it's a good weird mood.

Before
you buy:
try to follow this check list before you buy something.
* Do I need it?
* How many do I already have?
* How much will I use it?
* How long will it last?
* Could I borrow it from a friend or family member?
* Can I do without it?
* Am I able to clean and/or maintain it myself?
* Am I willing to?
* Will I be able to repair it?
* Have I researched it to get the best quality for the best price?
* How will I dispose of it when I'm done using it?
* Are the resources that went into it renewable or nonrenewable?
* Is it made or recycled materials, and is it recyclable?
* Is there anything that I already own that I could substitute for it?
2:50am
the soup is done. i put it in the
fridge. i wish i wanted to eat it now but i'm too tired!
it will be good to eat tomorrow. sometimes soup is even better the next day.
as i tasted it again (and burnt the roof of my mouth) i realized another yummy
thing that would be good in it is some cheese! like a smoked gouda cheese
sauce. how do you make cheese sauce? i have never made any before.
and can you even make a sauce from smoked gouda? do you just drop cheese in
the soup and then it melts in?
i don't have any smoked gouda. i wish i did, that is my favourite cheese,
that and asiago.
mmm, asiago in that soup! that would be maybe even better!
i wish i had any cheese at all.
would bleu cheese be good in a soup
like that, or is that just going too far? i think that might be going too
far. but the mad scientist in me wants to try it out just on one bowl of it,
just to see...
maybe tomorrow...or just some blue cheese shavings with fresh basil on top.
oh how i wish i had fresh basil.
i wish you were all here to have
some of this soup and tell me what you think of it. i would be most curious!
and i certainly have made enough for you al! i'll be eating this for a week.
my house smells really good :)
i love to make soup because it feels
like i am making a magical potion :)
i'm going t listen to a dreamland special interview with william henry now about:
"Whitley interviews William Henry about his phenomenal revision of his book City of Peace, that comes with a free DVD about the inner meaning of monuments around Nashville and the bizarre connection between places like the Oak Ridge National Laboratory and certain information that was obtained in Tibet by emissaries of Franklin Delano Roosevelt before World War II--information that Hitler was also seeking and missed, possibly saving the world from tyranny."
life is so darn good sometimes.
when i can make the soup and the string and then tuck myself into bed with
my puppies and listen to whitley streiber interview william henry...life is
darn darn good.
plus, my hair is pink :)
2:37pm
it seems to have worked out fine to dye my silk yarn with koolaid just by dumping hot glasses full of the stuff onto the yarn in the tub and let it sit for a few hours. i'm sure as it dries the colours won't look as vibrant as they do now, but right now they look very nice and smell good , too :) mmm koolaid :)
i love to make the soup and the string :)
2:20am
yes, i am a cooking genuis!
this soup is turning out really well!
how on earth is it that all that stuff i put in there would turn out to work
so well with each other?
i'm ready to take on an iron chef!
it just needs ONE extra thing, tho...like basil. i really wish i had some
fresh basil or a sweet onion or both.
i think adding those 2 things to it would really bring it out. and peas. it
could even use some peas.
i'm totally buying more cans of pumpkin to use in soup!
i had no idea. it just adds this mellow sweetness to the whole thing and had
no idea it would go well with beef of all things. now my little taste bud
synpases of thought are whirling.
curry pumpkin soup. it probably already exists. but heck, i just thought of
it now.
that would be good.
and dang it, once i get all my penzey spices with all the flavours, i will
make it.
i
need the 8 jar indian gift box
that's what i had before and i used it for EVERYTHING,it was the greatest
thing on earth.
everyone who loves to cook should own those 8 jars!
2:01am
ok, so i've set my computer alarm
clock to go off at 3:30am to take the soup off the stove in case i fall asleep
(i like to cook my soup for 2 hours at least....i like all the flavours to
really mesh)
god, i'm so weird to make the weirdest soup of all time at 2am.
i'm going to go look on the net for a recipe for tator tot hotdish now because i am determined to make my jewish boyfriend a really norwegian minnesotan lowermiddle class farmer WASP dish, since he's never had it. he keeps thinking he will hate it, well he hates almost all food, so he may well hate it. but if he does hate it he is nuts because tator tot hotdish rules the universe.
i really should just ask my dad for
a recipe.
you really need to get the recipe from a lady who is a member of a lutheran
church to know you are getting the real deal.
i could probably just make one, tho, anyway, without a recipe.
ah, here's one:
http://www.kottke.org/03/11/tator-tot-hotdish
i'll have to skip the green beans tho 'cause jason hates gushy green beans.
oh man, this one uses velveeta:

and another:

1:43am
ok, by some freak of nature, my soup
actually looks, smells and tastes good (so far).
i feel like i am dr. frankenstein making a monster tonight, and it lives,
IT LIVES!!
1:25am
it must be because the
earth is being bombarded by radiation from the sun or whatever it is it's
doing...
but i am just an out of my mind mad scientist right now.
spinning my silk, and then putting it in the tub with bleach and then that
didn't turn out quite how i wanted so i started dissolving pink lemonade,
orange, a strawberry koolaid and dumping that on it, in the tub (at least
it smells better than bleach now!). and i know you are supposed to then microwave
it or cook it or something, but screw that. i don't feel like it. maybe some
of the colour will stick if i leave it on for a few hours.
ok, but that isn't the MAD scientist
part. i don't know what came over to start making soup NOW at 1:30am...
and it might be quite possibly the grossest soup that will ever be made in
the history of soup or maybe something will synchronize in it and i am a freaking
cooking genuis!
but here is what is in my soup (no, i'm not pregnant)
lots of water (duh), beef, 2 cut up yams, mushrooms, 3 beef boullion cubes,
mussels, a can of pumpkin!!, cardamon, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, a tiny bit
if sage (i think maybe the sage wasn't such a good idea but who knows?) and
entire stick of butter!...
should i add garlic , too?
is this the grossest soup you have EVER heard of?
WHAT AM I DOING???
what on EARTH am i doing? is it even sane at ALL to make a soup with those ingredients??
ok, i threw in the garlic, too, why not?
