i haven't felt too creative lately
but it is slowly coming back to me. feels like lots things under the surface
about to bubble up or explode.
i know a lot of people breaking up, and then the volcano, and the elections,
and everything seems just about ready to surface and push it's way on in or
out or somewhere. tension. but not all of it is a bad kind of tension. some
of it is rather exciting and invigorating, yet it is also scary.
usually i feel more this way more around spring than in the fall.
very interesting. and i need to clean my house and purge/feng shui some more
things.
get things ready for new things to be birthed.
i don't feel as focused as i want to be.
i hope i can get my act together. but i also can't force anything.

decided not to bleach my hair more
as i really DO want to keep growing it out and i'm afraid if i bleach more
it will hinder that process.
so, i'm dyeing my hair manic panic pillar box red but i forgot how much that
colour is NOT really pillar box red anymore but is actually fuschia. i don't
know WHY they changed the formula. i've gone everywhere in search of the pillar
box red the way it was...which was the red like on a coke can.
but...i wanted my hair pink anyway...and so now it is. very bright fuschia
pink!
i'm going to wash it out in 20 minutes.
1:34pm
yellowesque
1:14pm
still contemplating what to do about
my hair.
i think i may try to bleach it a wee bit more.
made another fried egg sandwhich. yummy!
sunlight streaming through my windows. 63 degrees.
actually chatted with jennifer today of the now sadly defunct jennicam.
it was so good to hear from her, i've missed her!
no word from isabella yet. she has fallen off the face of the planet :(
i miss the old cam scene!
it was so much fun when it was a smallish community.
and there was that feeling of excitement that we were all trying something
so new.
but it's good now, too, just in a different way :)
ok, off to bleach more.
and at 3pm jason and i are going to go pick up the fixed camcorder!
2:22am
so my hair is a light yellow, as
i knew it would be.
the shade on the box that it said my hair WOULD be was a complete fabrication...of
course i didn't do the "strand test"
but still...i can't even believe they thought they could pass that off as being a totally all-in-one-kit- to blondeness. because you TOTALLY need toner if you want your hair to look even REMOTELY natural.
lucky for me, i don't want my hair
to be natural, and i knew it would do that, so it was no shock or surprise
to me.
whenever i bleach my hair, it takes about 3 days of fiddling with chemicals
before i get it right.
so..it's a lovely shade of light yellow. ya. doesn't really match my skin colour. at all.
so i turned my cam to black and white
and that fixed THAT! :)
look great in black and white!
i don't know if i will try to bleach
more, or if i will go for the bright red.
i guess i will think about it more tomorrow.
i don't think i could do pastel pink unless i bleached more, as the yellow
would interfere with the pink and maybe then mix into a weird orange. who
knows?
but i'm happy i did it. i am at least
heading into a direction that makes me more happy :)
time to fall asleep to c2c.

Multimedia Presentation by Mark Hosler
90 min.
Tuesday, October 5, 7:00pm, Oak Street
Cinema
Special Ticket Price $8
Pranks, media hoaxes, media literacy, the art of collage, creative activism in a media saturated multi-national world, file sharing, intellectual property issues, evolving notions of art and ownership and law in a digital age, artistic and funny critiques of mass media and culture, so-called “culture-jamming”…even if you’ve never heard of Negativland, if you are interested in any of these issues you’re sure to find this funny and inspiring presentation worthy of your time and attention. Most famous for being sued for their “U2” single, Negativland have had 25 years of fun being a thorn in the side of the corporate media and entertainment biz. They’re released a gazillion CDs, do occasional tours, have a weekly radio show, make little movies, show their work in museums, and were the subject of San Francisco filmmaker Craig Baldwin’s 1995 feature film “SONIC OUTLAWS.” Their art is “about tearing apart and reassembling found images to create new ones…hilarious and chilling.”
