oh ya baby :) gimme :)

6:23pm

well my mom was just starting to have perimenopausal symptoms at age 47 (hot flashes and such). so i doubt that is what is happening to me :) maybe what is happening to me is just stress related. stress can really screw up your periods. although my mom and i have very different body types, so who knows. i think i inherited my dad's body, not my mom's. otherwise i would have actually grwon breasts! hehe :)

5:49pm

i didn't get much done today so far. i did manage to take out all the garbage and work on my chicken soup some more. then i took jason out to eat for thai food and money spent: $24.00

i had fried tofu and hot and spicy veggie soup. i need to eat more soy if i am in menopause! haha :)
lordy.

i'm going over to jason's now to watch a documentary on the band Slade.
rock on!

2:28pm

i got up around 1pm today which is a record for me lately.
i hope i can continue to keep getting up earlier and earlier.

i have so much to do that i do not even know what to do 1st.
and so, i do nothing.

i've gained some weight but i cannot tell if it is actually weight or just water weight.
i sort of have my period but not really. just spotting and i have no idea what is up with that.
that sort of thing never happens to me.
is this the start of periods becoming irregular because menopause is right around the corner?
i think menopause doesn't start until age 45, tho.

but i'm not sure. ok, hmm, i'm googling it...
and i'm learning a new word "perimenopause"

WHAT IS PERIMENOPAUSE?

Perimenopause, or pre-menopause is a transitional stage of two to ten years before complete cessation of the menstrual period. Its average duration is six years, and can appear in women from 35 to 50 years of age. This has not been a stage of women's lives much talked about, and a woman can find herself experiencing puzzling changes, and not know why. What is actually going on is a gradual decrease of estrogen. The manifestations of perimenopause can vary.

oh, blah. i will have to look into all of this later....
