wow, i'm totally surprised! carolyn said yes she will be in the adam and the ants cover band with me!
wooo hoo! i was really not expecting her to say yes! yay!
and extra bonus is my friend eebomb (whose lj username is now fuzzybumblebee just like her website fuzzybumblee.com...so i will now refer to her as that and not eebomb), said that during the ants songs that have horns in them, she can play horns! yippee!
so we have the entire band now except for the 2nd drummer, which must be renee!
so i must get together with renee and make her drink lots of wine and then i know i can get her to say yes :)
woo hoo!

but if she says no then i will ask freddy votel of tvbc/the cows :)

very very very very cool!

who knew that in the future, the blue up? and ousia (and maybe tvbc) would converge to play adam and the ants covers? ha!

ok, i fixed my wheel, i think. i still don't know how i did it or what was wrong with it.
the silver thread wants to twist in on itself and so when i take it off the cone it gets really tangly.
but i am plying it with the opalescent anyway and letting the tangles get spun in with the whole thing and so it is adding a very interesting texture i did not intend for the yarn but i am pleased with this "beautiful accident" :)
the silver and opal together are so pretty :)
i'm still in the hunt for the perfect silver yarn so that i can make the perfect silver hair for myself.
i still don't know how to make hair from this silver stuff, but at least i have figured out this cool unique tarn i am making :) maybe i will make hair for myself from the opalescent. i need to get more of this stuff :)

5:46pm

i have a cone of silver thread and a cone of opalescent thread and i want to ply them together on my wheel but my wheel isn't turning very well and i can't figure out why and neither can jason :(

i'm putting some very thin paper yarn through my knitmagic machine and it's turning out very delicate, stiff, and crinkly in a good way :)

i got to the movie tonight with my friend carolyn. that is in 1 1/2 hours.

2:32pm

how thin is 40 gauge wire?
is it as thin as a human hair?

and i do have some wire that is as thin as hair,
what gauge would that maybe be?
'cause i want to get some that is a bit thicker than that, but still very thin enough to crochet.

also does anyone know where i could buy thread or yarn that is already completely strung with tiny beads so that i can crochet that?

above picture of the wire (in the white square) i have that is too thin.

here is a description of some wire i am thinking of buying but since i don't understand what gauge this is, i'm not going to buy it yet:

"Especially fine wire. We have 3-strand 38 gauge, 5-strand 38 gauge and single strand 40 gauge."

and here is a description of some stainless steel yarn i want to buy, but i have no idea how thick this is because i don't understand what they are saying:

"We are quite impressed with this yarn, but we have not yet seen any pieces woven with it. The yarn consists of 275 12 micron stainless steel continuous fibers, doubled, so it is 2x275. It is about 800 meters per kilogram, which translates to about 400 yards per lb. It is soft and shiny. Daniel wrapped it around a pencil and came up with 44 wraps per inch, which is close to what we get for our 10/2 Tencel, 4200 ypp. So it is quite dense, as would be expected! "

(from yarn here: http://www.texturatrading.com/)

i didn't go to the p.o. box because all day i have been waiting for the fire dept to come in.
but they haven't...
maybe they are just not going to?

i hate when my day consists of waiting.
but i am getting a bit of cleaning done.

11:46am

brrr. cold. it snowed a bit.
i hear the fire department testing everyone's fire alarms. it's making the puppies restless.
i can't wait until they have done mine so i can get it over with. i hate when people i do not know are coming into my house and especially when do not know the exact minute of their arrival.

i got up at 11:30am! could this be a turn around from my whacked out australian time schedule?
i sure hope so!

i have to get the the p.o.box today. i finally can do this since i am AWAKE!

i'm thinking of starting an adam and the ants cover band with jason :)
it will be called "ana and the ants", of course :)
jason will play drums and i am going to ask renee from the blue up? if she would like to play drums, too.
and then i'll ask carolyn from the blue up? if she will play bass, but i think she will say no because i don't know if she has time or even has a bass amp anymore. and jason asked his bandmate, paul, from ousia to play guitar and he is in :) that would be pretty cool if there was an adam and the ants cover band consisting of the blue up? and ousia :) hehe

ok, i'm going to work on packages to mail now...

and i'm listening to my 80's music station on live365 (gen80's radio), and they just played adam :)

jason is thinking of moving to L.A. in 2 years now instead of one year. he wants to have all his credit cards paid off and lots of $ saved before we move. this is fine with me.
