birth of a new hat

using the yarn i made from the 2 rayon scarves,
i created a new hat.
i'll get better pictures of it up tomorrow.

orb8 is eating vanilla icecream, thinking about string theory, and is waiting for her fiber art to come out of the dryer.
i am eating rasberry sorbet, thinking about string theory and waiting for my fiber art to come out of the dryer!

i think free form crochet is string theory.
it's too bad the scientists don't knit or crochet because i just know they would have a lot of revelations of they did.

for instance, when you do the single stitch in crochet..it makes a 6 sided shape in each hole. which is supposedly the shape of the universe.
and our universe, i believe, is only one of these stiches/holes.

scientists argue as to whether the strings are lines or circles..
and now they say maybe it is not that but planes.

well, duh, if they only crocheted they would see that ALL of these things are correct., it's a line, a circle/coil and a plane.

AND, i believe, the entire universe of made up of ONE string..not lots of tiny ones.

this is what i think of when i crochet :)
and my next cam piece will be called "string theory"

since the last one was "pie or pi?"

i'm trying a new thing. after cutting the fabric into strips, i then put it through my spinning wheel to twist it.
this process has put a lot of new ideas into my head and i can't wait to experiment more.

it's very cold and foggy today.
it makes me feel slow and slothlike.

i think i'll make some fried eggs.

jason is at school until 8.

i'm thinking of buying a new camcorder now instead of one on ebay so i can have a warranty.
