things i believe today:

1. i don't think religion/spirituality, science/figuring-out-the world and politics/a-code-of-ethics-values-morals-for-living CAN be separated. and to think we can, EVER, is delusional.

2. i will never really know ANYTHING.

3. david bowie's new cd, "reality" is great.

thinking about where i am going to do this pie thing in my house...

questions i had last night:

is it possible for the universe to ever comprehend itself fully?
is it ever possible for you to comprehend YOURSELF fully?

since pi is the numerological expression of infinity,
and infinity is the perfect expression of all of time,
perhaps pi is the numerological expression of time?

i watched "ghost dog" last night.
great movie!

i can't really decide what i think of eckhart tolle, author of "the power of now".
i think i really like the guy. but i am not completely sold on the idea of living totally in the now yet.
i think it's good to be able to HAVE that skill tho. and i surely don't have it.
and i'm going to keep working on it.
but to live without past, future, or ego completely.
i'm not sure.

last night i think i figured out why ceratin religions say the name of god is unpronouncable.
because a name has to exist within time. i don't think a name can exist without time.
and since god lives outside of time ( and also within it...god IS time),
you cannot pronounce the true essence of god in it's pure state of "being" that lives outside of time.
it cannot be "known" in that way. because the minute you start to think..."what is its/my name?" and try to know it,
you are in time, and therefore not in the pure essence of being.
the pure essence os "being" can never be "known".
therefore, it doesn't have a name, and so cannot be pronounced.

i can't believe my job description includes smashing pies on my nude body :)

today is coconut cream pie extravaganza day!
i don't know what time it will happen as i like to play things by ear.
