nope, didn't get much done today. i think i am procrastinating spinning my expensive fiber because it's so expensive i don't want to screw it up. but i have to just dive in and do it. i don't think i will screw it up because it's just so gorgeous, i don't think it could possibly be ruined by anything i do to it.
i need to buy some silk thread to put all my pearls on when i get them. i want everything to be lavish, down to the very last detail.
and i have to get some niddy noddys.
isn't that a great word?
i
need the 1 2/3rd yard pvc niddy noddy from babes fiber garden.
it's only 7 bucks. i want about 5 of them.
after you spin, you have to set the twist, like putting hair in curlers overnight.
i can wind my yarn onto the pvc niddy noddy ( and while you wind you can then
count how many yards you made )
and then dip the yarn, niddy noddy and all, into water and then let that dry.
or i can use the steamer and steam it right on the niddy noddy.
that is why i want pvc. wood wouldn't do for water and steam.
i like my yarn to be really tight
around something when i set the twist.
i'd explain it all to you, but i'm sure you find it boring.
i just know that that is what i need in order to do it the way i want to do it.
i got to order 2 more books from audible.com today because every month i get to order 2.
so i got albert einstein, a biography
and rich dad, poor dad
here is a summary on that:
"The main reason people struggle financially is because they have spent years in school but learned nothing about money. The result is that people learn to work for money...but never to have money work for them." So says Robert Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad in this New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Business Week, and USA Today best seller. Rich Dad, Poor Dad will: explode the myth that you need to earn a high income to become rich; challenge the belief that your house is an asset; show parents why they can't rely on the school system to teach their kids about money; define once and for all an asset and a liability; and teach you what to teach your kids about money for their future financial success.
if you end up joining audible.com,
say i referred you. my username is anavoog

what on earth did i get done today?
this day just whizzed by. and the sun is going to earlier.
so depressing.
6:35pm
white kid mohair blended with handpainted tussah silk
sebastian prays to the soup...
5:46pm
i made my soup. i kind of overcooked it. it didn't need miso. i'm waiting for it to cool.
i really want to make a film about spinning and crocheting. there is so much
gorgeous sensuality that you just don't see.
the whole process is just so beautiful.. the way light flows through the fiber...the
mixing of the different fbers during the carding process...and the beauty
of an ebony hook weaving through black mohair...or the lightness and luminesence
of white fluffy mohair over skin. the soft whirling sound of the spinning
wheel. the soft fiber flowing and twisting through your hands.
the gorgeous perfection and intricate symetry of a yarn ball. there is so
much to show you.
i have to get a videocamera that can look as good as film to capture these
things for you. it needs to be shown in that light. and i need a clear lucite
spinning wheel! i want to spin nude and my clear lucite wheel...spinning high
tech faerie fibers and soft lofty fluffiness from heaven. i want to show you
the joys of string...the beauty in the mathematics of it. the twist, the energy
incased and stored in each twist. string...bondage...tying me up in a big
cocoon of string. this is the movie i want to make.
and i want to spin and crochet a
wig for myself. a crazy faerie wig.
maybe that expensive yarn i am going to make will end up as part of it.
5:24pm
i'm cooking a veggie soup:
potatoes, sweet red peppers, spinach,
tomatoes, broccoli, pea pods, mushrooms,
fresh oregano, chives, garlic, basil, ginger
salt , pepper, soy sauce...
i might add miso but i don't know if miso and oregano go together...
jason is having fun in virginia. the mountians smell yummy, he says
i must get back to my soup now...
i ordered some rice pearls to spin
in with my white merino wool( the softest and finest wool) blended with some
silk and angora.
it's going to be the most beautiful yarn EVER.
and i have some handpainted kid mohair (the softest mohair)blended with tussah
silk i am going to blend in with the merino...adding colourful blobs (slubs)
into it.
so it will be white merino with fuschia and yellow silk slubs and rice pearls!
oooooooooooooooooo!
extravagant :)
