CHRISTMAS

i cannot comprehand that today is christmas eve day. there is nothing christmasy happening for me tomorrow or the next day. i'm not bummed about it.

now that i have jason, i have chanukah. :)

but it's not really the same. tomorrow i'd go out and buy a few christmasy things for a small christmas type "thing" but by the time i wake up, everything will be closed.

i miss the way christmas used to be when i was a kid. there was just NOTHING better than christmas! it was so exciting! i think my favourite part was just the way the house SMELLED with all the food and with tree.

all the hustle and bustle and mom lighting candles and people ringing our door with fruit baskets. getting out the good china, setting the table, the way all the wrapping paper crinkled and rustled. the lights of the tree making EVERYTHING look magical. christmas carollers even! watching rudolph the red nosed reindeer on tv.

THOSE were the days. i miss them.
