i never look at my stats page. i perhaps should more often because now i realize
why my bandwidth payment went up 70 bucks. it really is from my lj. in fact,
the pix i put in my lj make up 1/3 my bandwidth costs. but when i put up that
special huge "dream" page..and also that weird animated gif page
on my lj...that is where it really spiked. it's a drag that doing something
like that cost me 70 bucks. gadzooks. so i won't be doing that again anytime
soon :(
well, also i let everyone know on my mailing list about the dream page, too.
so that is really what probably did me in.
and only 9 people told me they liked it or even mentioned it at all.
and it got tens of thousands of accesses.
so screw that!
i'd rather spend the 70 bucks on something else!
and i'm going to try
the experiment of putting all my pictures behind a lj-cut now, to see if that
might get my costs down a bit.
although i really DESPISE lj-cut. so....i'll see if i can stand it.

as i'm taking a picture
of the milk carton, this guy comes outside to smoke a cigarette.
"are you ok?", he asks.
(because i'm down near the ground staring at this thing with my camera)
"yes!", i reply with a huff and bewilderment.
"are you on drugs?", he accuses.
"no, i'm NOT on drugs."
"so you're just taking a picture of a milk carton by a dumpster that
smells bad."
"ummm. yes."
